QA Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and supporting the Egg HACCP Rule, SQF certification and other regulatory requirements. Maintain, analyze, and report data analysis from product testing, environmental monitoring, and RedZone Compliance. Organize and prioritize workload of QA Techs along with supporting operations and QA Techs while maintaining a professional and courteous attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Maintaining Quality Testing Plan and documentation for SQF Certification

· Maintaining and review documentation for Egg HACCP

· Review forms, monitor QA Tech activities, complete assigned tasks, and provide appropriate next steps or comments for RedZone Compliance

· Communicate on hold product, environmental issues, Compliance completion, and customer complaints to operations leadership

· Maintain product status and disposition of on-hold product in Hold Report

· Track hot room pasteurization and create release schedule of product from the hot room, including samples for operational and quality testing

· Represent QA at production huddles, walk through at shift changes, and other meetings as invited, and reporting back to QA Techs and other Supervisors pertinent information

· Make sure lab has received samples of product and swabs to ensure timely testing for product release

· Report on quality of product produced to Operations and Quality Management

· Assist with customer complaint and environmental presumptive results investigations

· Collect, analyze, compile, distribute and present various reports or information as requested or assigned

· Complete less than full case customer sample requests

· Oversee QA Floor Tech scheduling and daily tasks to ensure adequate coverage for operational support, including but not limited to compliance checks, sample testing and prep~ops

· Oversee or train personnel on product quality testing equipment and randomly test certified coworkers

· Follow all OSHA safety regulations and procedures

· Interact with industry on new technologies and processes, evaluate for possible addition to current procedures. This may be done through seminars, meetings, email or phone communication

· Assist in coworker new hire and annual training

· Establish, coach and monitor co-worker performance and developmental goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, conduct annual performance review, including salary adjustments, if applicable

· Meet with team on a weekly basis to review performance and developmental goals

· Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the SQF system

· Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity and sustain Egg HACCP rule

· Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and/or food quality problems from occurring

· Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined per Egg HACCP rule, the Food Safety Plan, the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system or other 3rd party audits.

· Perform other tasks as assigned

Backup:

· A trained designee will be appointed by management to cover for absences or vacancies; refer to Rembrandt Foods site-specific facility back-up matrix on file.
