Job Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with the locations quality policies and procedures for the day-to-day operations of the sites further processing facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all QA functions are being performed and documented in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Work with the locations USDA inspector to ensure compliance with USDA/FSIS regulations
  • Monitor and complete CP and CCP reviews on paperless systems.
  • Verify Flow rates, metal detector checks, and oven temperature checks.
  • Monitor finished product packaging to ensure labeling, inkjet coding and package weight meet company and customer specification
  • Attend team huddles with raw and pasteurized operators to communicate any quality issues or non-conformances.
  • Prepare and calibrate temperature probes daily.
  • Conduct routine maintenance
  • Assist in collecting product for customer samples.
  • Maintains cleanliness in laboratory and quality assurance areas.
  • Audit and maintain quality assurance programs and procedures
  • Ensures testing equipment is operating correctly to ensure accurate results, including following the preventative maintenance schedule for verification and calibration
  • Perform daily GMP, SSOP and housekeeping inspections
  • Assist in collecting information for 3rd party audits
  • Aseptically pull and collect product samples for Micro and analytical testing
  • Assist in employee training
  • Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the SQF system
  • Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring
  • Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rd party audits
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
  • Conduct environmental monitoring swabs site wide.
Backup:
  • A trained designee will be appointed by management to cover for absences or vacancies; refer to Rembrandt Foods site-specific facility back-up matrix on file.
